Agreed.
I was binge watching Beyond mtvs on youtube the other day, and was surprised at (recently) how many people still flaunts the cliché ” Hong Kong has no music industry, only an entertainment industry ” around on the youtube replies.
It was probaby true when Kuma said it 15 years ago, and I agreed with it too back in the time. But too much have changed since then and for someone to casually throw that line out again without any backing is probably non-justified.
Especially the last few years… I enjoyed quite a many good songs from HK artists, both indie and mainstream.
Still a diehard Beyond fan, though. |m|,

Yeah. When Duke Ellington was asked to define jazz he replied, “there are only two kinds of music, good and bad.”
It’s not about genre or popular appeal.

I think most love songs associate people with their own love stories…that’s how they became attached to it.
At least its the case to me. Each girls have different love songs…=_=’
