外地公幹幾星期回來，就收到早訂下的新唱片。陸續在聽，且先講這一張。
「命中注定我愛你」，台灣有史以來收視最高的電視偶像劇，比前紀錄保持者「王子變青蛙」的收視高出幾乎一倍，而且還有五集未播完，大有可能再創高峰。主角阮經天一砲而紅，當他說如果收視破十的話就當眾裸泳的時候，可真是發夢也沒有想過如此超現實的收視目標是有可能的。當他裸泳完畢，記者問他如果收視破十二時會如何，他再也不敢誇下海口了。
我不諱言我是台灣偶像劇的擁躉。當然，不少人會咎病偶像劇的情節無甚新意，來來去去都是窮/蠢/醜女愛上富/叻/俊男，由「流星花園」到「惡作劇之吻」到「王子變青蛙」到「愛情魔髮師」到「微笑Pasta」到「換換愛」到「公主小妹」到「命中注定我愛你」都一樣，例外的是「轉角．遇到愛」，變成窮男愛上金光閃閃大小姐。但是，香港那些電視劇何嘗不是一樣？有那一對冤家最終不成情人？台灣偶像劇可取之處，在於細節。用實境不用搭景，不打世界光，單機像電影般拍攝，用九個月至一年去拍那十多二十集戲，可想而知在畫面質素上會勝過流水作業的港劇多少。
但更吸引我的是歌曲和配樂。台灣偶像劇大部份不用罐頭配樂，而是為劇集寫配樂，像電影一樣。最早期的「流星花園」用英文歌做配樂已很出色，每一次唱花澤類出場配”This is the moment…”時我都起雞皮疙瘩。那也是我第一隻買的台灣偶像劇原聲碟。後來的「愛情魔髮師」，到現在的「命中注定我愛你」，都很善於用音樂去推動劇情，加強戲劇的張力，比香港劇每逢有劇中人過身便會播主題曲加回顧畫面的招數強很多。
就單以歌曲來論，這隻碟也是很不錯的。「99次我愛他」和「心願便利貼」可能對某些人來說會太甜如糖水，但像劇中常常出現的「半情歌」和其他不太出現的歌其實也是很有水準的流行曲。我特別喜歡「我的快樂」，輕輕的爵士調子令整套劇集的品味提升了不少。當然，劇中每次出然這首歌都是最錐心的時候。
曾幾何時，香港的電視劇主題曲何等風光。但到今日，「男人魅」、「女兒紅」兩隻碟，有幾多首歌可以和台灣偶像劇的插曲較量？
剛剛看完電影「我的最愛」. 這是繼「十分愛」後, 葉念琛拍的另一套愛情片.
這是一部關預謊言的故事. 我不會影評, 不過如果葉念琛想要讓看完的人被謊言嚇怕的話, 我覺得他很成功.
上次看完「十分愛」後我有差不多兩天都被那不電影裡所帶出的信息而困擾著. 這次我看完「我的最愛」後,恐怕我又要睡不著了.
因為我發現世界上最可怕的, 不是鬼, 不是怪獸或著死亡, 而是謊言.
看著故事美麗的發生, 一切順利, 最後有著完美的結果. 但是當發現故事背後其實有著很多不可告人的事情時, 發現原來這些美麗的情節背後原來都是有著一大堆謊言來支撐著時, 才發現原來我們看到的只不過是整個故事的十分之一. 原來這些美麗是假的.原來那些山盟海誓都是假的. 原來每一個人都在說謊. 原來男朋友有著另一位情人, 原來那個情人就是你的好朋友, 原來大家都在互相欺騙著.
而就是因為表面上看起來是這麼的完美無暇, 我們才會背後的故事嚇怕. 為什麼那麼美麗的畫面原來是假的? 怎麼這些看起來是好的和真心的人原來都很有目的呢? 原來人真是那麼醜陋的.
我不知道怎麼去形容我的心情, 我覺得很可怕, 我覺得原來人性醜陋的那一面原來是這麼恐怖的. 我的心立刻「寒」了起來.
事情是否真實其實我們永遠都不會知道的. 因為就算你去問個明白, 就算你去調查真相, 你也不會知道最後你找到的答案到底是不是真的. 到最後你找到了, 你也要相信那個答案才行的. 所以關鍵並不在於找不找出事實的真相, 因為最算你再怎麼樣去找出真相, 也無法知道到底那個所謂的「真相」是不是真的.
相信就是相信, 如果你相信那個人, 你就不會在意找不找出真相這一回事了.
因為就算找出「真相」, 你也要相信那個人, 來相信那個真相.
也就是說, 很多時候我們執著的去問個究竟, 去找出真相, 但其實那並不實重點, 因為就算找到了, 你真的問到了真相,你也不會知道那是不是真的.
「我想做回自己． 很多年前，有個人叫我去做，但是我做不到．最近我遇到另外一個人，她說我可以的，所以我想試試看．」

You know, I think I’m going to give up trying to write about music in Chinese. It’s… well, they sound funny. Here are some of my thoughts, in a (slightly) more coherent form.
Coldplay – Viva La Vida
If you like Coldplay, you must listen to this record; but if you don’t really like Coldplay, then this record isn’t going to change your mind.
I know, I know, Brian Eno produced it and there are new instruments and rhythms on the album – but this is not their Think Tank or OK Computer. The same type of straightforward arena-friendly rock is still here. You can’t miss their melody and choruses, and Chris’ lyrics are… rather plain. So, sure, there are some interesting new tricks, but there’s nothing really challenging.
I still think their first album was their best.
Once – Music from the Motion Picture
“Once” is a lovely little indie Irish film about indie musicians who fall in love. By using the musicians’ performances, the movie is able to feel like a documentary-musical: a type of thing where the music is essential for understanding the characters’ feelings.
What I found most interesting was the way that the music lifted the film, and how the film lifted the music. In the movie, all of the songs amplified our visual interpretations: when the story’s emotions (ie. loneliness) are sung, that characterizations suddenly became intimate and intense.
And, vice versa, by understanding the film’s context, the music itself sounds better, too. Which is to say why I’m kind of disappointed with the CD. In a CD player and after my visual memory has faded, the music isn’t as good anymore. The lyrics, now removed from context, seems almost trite.
This phenomenon reminds me of the way I used to think about church worship songs. They’re so simple and the lyrics are pretty trite – but once I understand the story, the stuff in between the songs, then those songs take on a life on their own and they sound amazing. It’s a life context…
Weezer (or, the red album)
Well, this is better than Make Believe or Maladriot. It has a few good hard-hitters like “The Angel and the One” and “Pork and Beans”, but it has a lot of duds too. “The Greatest Man that Ever Lived” is really fun for about a week, but then you realize that its lyrics are bad and misogynistic, and the production is just too slick.

做歌手，其實真的幾講運氣。陳曉東，算是無運的表表者。
無運例一，與前經理人老師槓上，擾攘一輪後已經洩掉人氣。
無運例二，終於找到一個好經理人，不久後卻自殺過身。Back to square one.
無運例三，終於再找到一個好經理人，終於找到一個好監製（我記得曾經讀過訪問，說陳曉東在和張亞東開完會，落實了張亞東肯出任他的唱片監製之後，在的士上喜極痛哭，覺得自己要否極泰來了），又終於有了一首經典好歌（劃火柴到現在仍然是非常經典的一首歌），但時機已過，事業仍然停濟不前。
無運例四，終於今次事隔多年能再在香港出碟，但是，沒有好歌，美術指導過時，MV拍得無聊…
陳曉東其實唱得很好。真假音轉換的技巧，感情的運用，我覺得其實他要比古巨基還好一些。但奈何，運氣這回事… 只能嘆句，輕舟已過。
Explosions.

Cartoon plot.
Good acting.
Iron Man is a great movie for 15-year-old boys.
